Ian Davis – Vinyasa & Ashtanga Yoga Teacher, Yoga Teacher Trainer
Ian holds certification from Yoga Campus, and is registered with both Yoga Alliance and The British Wheel of Yoga. He is a qualified Ahstanga, Vinyasa, Children and Pregnancy yoga teacher.
Ian has been teaching yoga for over 10 years, studying under some of the world’s greatest teachers; David Life, Sharon Gannon (the Jivamukti founders) and David Swenson (Ashtanga). He has also studied extensively with Sri Patthabi Jois (the Ashtanga Guru) Richard Freeman, Nancy Gilgoff, John Scott, David Williams and many more. He loves that in yoga you just start from where you are.
Ian is a certified yoga teacher trainer with Yoga Alliance and will be hosting his first 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training course in April 2015 from the Pure Body Balance Centre for Wellbeing.
Ian’s Passion: Yoga is Ian’s chief passion, he loves nothing more than studying and developing his yoga practices and knowledge during his spare time. When he is not teaching yoga, Ian is happiest with a good book in his hand - any good book. To go with the up dogs and down dogs Ian has two dirty dogs - working spaniels that he trains for fun competitions.
“No matter the state of your body or mind with little steps and regular practice both can go through complete transformation“.
“Ian is an incredibly talented yoga teacher, his attention to detail results in beautiful interlacing poses that make me feel graceful even when I am not! Ian instills a great sense of confidence in his classes, encouraging you to tackle seemingly impossible inversions and balance poses with relative ease.” Karen
Ian teaches Vinyasa Flow classes on Mondays and Wednesday’s at 09:30 from the Pure Body Balance Centre for Wellbeing. Ian also offers private 1to1 classes and yoga teacher training. Contact Ian directly for more information.
